Hello! my name is Camila Marcías, I love food, cooking and everything that involves the oven. This is not what I have been doing all my life, it was a struggle to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up, I went to Law School in Chile and once I finished I decided to become a Pastry Chef, basically, I put the codes down and picked up my apron.
I started this blog to tell my process and learn the most I could about baking, I worked as a self-taught baker in Chile, until one day I decided to move to Paris and study pastry professionally.
I studied in Le Cordon Bleu Paris and Bellouet Conseil, then I worked at Yann Couvreur Pâtisserie learning and absorbing all the knowledge I could while in France. I moved to England for love, where I live at the moment and I am working as the Pastry Chef in Parkers Tavern in the recently opened University Arms Hotel in Cambridge.
When I am not in the hotel kitchen I am turning on the oven at my house to develop new recipes for the blog and taking photos, which is one of my passions. This is a space to share with you what I have learned, my recommendations, experiences and my inspiration.
